HealthFitness has a great opportunity for an experienced Membership Manager at our new client site in Cincinnati, OH. You will be a part of the Leadership team at the new 65,000 square foot Delhi Athletic Club (DAC) which includes a cultural arts and banquet center in addition to the fitness and aquatics areas. This position will be responsible for the oversite of the membership sales department and office to meet goals for monthly new membership dues revenue and net dues revenue. Responsible for the training, supervision and evaluation of 2 full-time membership sales representatives. This individual will manage all membership transfers, upgrades, downgrades, cancellations, and refunds for Member Services. You will be responsible for keeping sales team accountable to meeting or exceeding their sales goals. Also, responsible for overseeing retention efforts to meet or exceed industry benchmarks for retention.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Responsible for the execution and oversite of the pre-sales process to meet pre-sales membership sales and dues revenue goals prior to the opening of the site.
· Manages the membership department to sell memberships and serve existing members to promote retention.
· Provides the training, supervision and daily coaching of the sales team to meet and exceed sales and retention goals.
· Collaborates with HealthFitness Marketing Manager to ensure that the marketing and sales process mesh together to produce results.
· Works together with the HealthFitness Sales Champion to make sure best practices in sales and retention are utilized by the entire team.
· Updates the sales dashboard daily to promote accountability.
· Meets regularly with the General Manager to discuss ideas and action plans to increase sales and retention.
· Processes all membership change and cancellation transactions. Maintains accurate financial records for quarterly and annual reporting.
· Oversees the daily membership deactivation process and annual audit for all membership types.
· Supervises the locker rental including allocation, notifications, clean-out, and storage fee collection.
· Participates in the annual development of departmental strategies and goals. Actively contributes to the completion and reporting of Member Services team goals.
· Serves as the Point-Of-Contact (POC) when serving as duty. Completes facility rounds each workday to ensure a safe and secure facility.
· Other duties as needed/assigned.
Education, Experience & Certifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in recreation, hospitality, business, exercise science or a related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's degree preferred.
• Motivated and goal oriented.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with others.
• Strong attention to detail, organized, and ability to deliver quality customer service.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills including the ability to develop effective business relationships.
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Preferred:
Experience with recreation member management software.
Experience with providing leadership and supervision to a diverse team of employees.
