Job Description
The role…
At Soho House the Membership Communications & Content Manager is responsible for driving the communications strategy for Soho Houses to connect our members through Soho House’s digital platforms (Friends/SH.APP) as well as through our physical House events. They will add value, engagement and retention from the membership base in Hong Kong, as well as support membership communication initiatives at a regional and global level.
Main duties…
• Support membership and operational activities with a robust cross-channel communications and marketing plan for our restaurants, cinema, Health Club and event spaces in Hong Kong – working closely with membership team, local House Manager, and Regional Managing Director
• Devise and execute strategies to drive awareness and revenue against member events, F&B, private hire and gym classes
• Work closely with the global membership communications team to ensure consistent and on-brand messaging across global business touchpoints – including weekly and monthly membership communications strategy and content.
• Brief content team on all member-facing content and communications required and brief Digital Marketing team on website and app content updates.
• Oversee printed collateral and on-site messaging to members
• Work closely with local Head of Membership & Communications on content for our restaurants, cinema, Health Club and event spaces in Hong Kong to feed into the social media content plan
• Spend a portion of their time walking the floor, spending time with members including answering inquiries and driving the usage of our digital platforms (Friends/SH.APP)
For public sites:
• Leverage customer communication channels to drive awareness and conversion of Soho Friends
• Work with PR support team to drive awareness and press coverage for public Soho House sites
• Plan and brief all email campaigns for public sites to the Digital Communications and CRM team
• Brief content team on all public content and communications required and brief Digital Marketing Assistant on updates to existing websites.
• Oversee the monitoring of public listings for Hong Kong sites on Yelp, TripAdvisor and other public data aggregators
• Work with platforms such as OpenTable to drive awareness and covers for public restaurants
• Work with the Digital Marketing team on paid search strategy and execution for relevant business units.
• Work closely with the UK Head of Social to establish social content strategy for public sites, as well as a relevant Influencer marketing strategy.
• Work closely with the UK partnerships team to identify new marketing opportunities including brand events and activations for Soho House Hong Kong.
What we look for…
• A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related discipline
• At least 5-8 years of marketing experience, preferably gained from F&B/Hotel industry
• Excellent command of English and Chinese, written and spoken
• Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced work environment and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with different stakeholders and external parties
• Experience with different design programs such as InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop would be an advantage
• A good sense of responsibility and self-motivation with a positive attitude to maintain collaborative work relationship with team and cross-functional unit
