Overview
To assist the leadership team in leading testing and experimentation of marketing campaigns on the Member Communication Orchestration & Analytics team, delivering new and innovative business and technical solutions using Marketing Automation technology. Lead data mining for marketing insights, implementation of predictive analytics and running data driven experiments to meet Navy Federal product, revenue, and member engagement goals. Provide leadership and mentor lower-level analysts. Network and collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization and externally. Works independently with limited guidance on the most complex projects and initiatives with significant impact.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute a comprehensive testing and experimentation strategy to optimize marketing campaigns and strategies Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define testing objectives, KPIs, and hypotheses for various marketing initiatives Design and oversee A/B tests, multivariate tests, and other experiments to evaluate the performance of marketing channels, creatives, and targeting Manage and prioritize a testing roadmap, ensuring efficient resource allocation and project timelines Implement rigorous statistical methods to ensure the validity and reliability of testing results Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging technologies related to marketing testing and experimentation Develop and maintain testing documentation, including test plans, protocols, and reporting standards Mentor and train team members on testing methodologies and data-driven decision-making Continuously optimize the testing process to drive innovation and stay ahead of the competition Ensure compliance with data privacy and ethical guidelines in all testing and experimentation activities Partner with Data Science team on the most complex testing of adaptive models and use of predictive models (e.g., from Marketing and Mission Data), member segments, and financial cohorts for advanced predictive capabilities Lead in providing business and technical advice to Marketing, Business Units, ISD, and other business partners in the definition of new and innovative business communication decisioning solutions in Pega Customer Decision Hub (CDH) with clear objectives, timeframes, and deliver business value Analyze complex Marketing campaign requirements and translate them into Pega CDH interaction strategies, targeting and personalization/variable data requirements, engagement policies, and target audience sizing to ensure next best action effectiveness and business objective/value realization; communicate to stakeholders Drive and define the orchestration and arbitration of member communications and ensure consistency and relevancy of communications across inbound and outbound channels as new channels are integrated with Pega CDH Troubleshoot the most complex Pega CDH software issues, including integration with Salesforce, Online Banking, USD, NFO and other systems; identify resolutions Provide business partners with complex analysis of next best action strategies and results Maintain extensive knowledge of all marketing and business unit goals, tactics, reporting, and data attributes Conduct advanced and complex analysis of daily and real-time next best action results, develop insights and ensure delivery of expected business and member experience results Forecast ability for planned marketing plan initiatives to meet business unit goals Research complex emerging trends and best practices; recommend new, high-impact campaigns/next best actions that help realize business goals Manage multiple marketing initiatives with the most complex scope and impact under tight deadlines; ensure next best actions are launched on time and meet internal client expectations Form strategic partnering relationships with key operations groups (ISD, SQA, Contact Center, Branch Operations, Digital, Mission Data, Member Experience) to integrate functions with these channels and enable implementation of planned marketing programs Collaborate with key external third parties (Credit Bureaus, VISA, TSYS, MRM, IWCO, DataLabs, Accenture, CDP/Identity Graph, etc.) to develop effective and more extensive capabilities and data sources (that meet regulatory requirements) for enhanced targeting and personalization; ensure programs with third parties deliver on Return On Investment (ROI) Mentor and lead lower-level team members to ensure program objectives and goals are being met Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Proficiency in statistical analysis and data interpretation Strong understanding of hypothesis testing, regression analysis, and other statistical methods Demonstrated experience in designing and executing A/B tests, multivariate tests, and other experimentation methods Knowledge of best practices for test design, sample size calculations, and statistical significance Proficient in data analysis tools and software like R, Python, or statistical software (e.g., SPSS) Deep understanding of digital marketing concepts, channels, and strategies Familiarity with marketing analytics tools and platforms like Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or marketing automation systems Proficiency in data collection, cleaning, and manipulation Familiarity with databases and data warehousing Extensive experience collaborating with diverse teams of technical architects, business users, and ISD teams in all phases of the software development lifecycle Ability to learn highly complex material, concepts, and technology quickly Experience in working in a "matrix" environment while managing multiple and competing priorities independently and/or in a team environment Significant experience leading highly complex projects, teams, and/or initiatives with large scope and high impact Extensive experience developing comprehensive plans to address moderately-complex to complex business initiatives Advanced verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Statistics, Data Science, or a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, training, or experience Advanced skill in producing desired results and achieving outstanding business results Advance skill in presenting findings, conclusions, alternatives, and information clearly and concisely Expert analytical, problem solving, and negotiation skills to resolve conflicting requests and obtain concurrence, and motivate stakeholders/senior management Advanced organizational, planning, and project management skills
Desired Qualifications
Pega certified and subject matter expert; expert level understanding to impact the business with advanced solutions Experience in designing and/or implementing Marketing and Decisioning software (i.e. Pega, Cordiant, Infor CRM Epiphany, SmartFocus, Experian, etc.) Significant experience in Agile SCRUM or similar methodologies Extensive experience in marketing campaign "life-cycle" management and marketing analysis Extensive experience using a broad range of Microsoft software applications, marketing research tools, trends, data mining and technologies (e.g., Cognos, Business Objects, SAS, JMP, SPSS, SQL, CRM platforms such as Infor or TRM, Mintel Comperemedia, Claritas tools, Omniture, etc.) Advanced knowledge of member service operations (philosophy, sales, and cross servicing environments) Desired-Working knowledge of credit union and/or financial service operations Desired-Working knowledge of Navy Federal's functions, philosophy, operations, systems, and organizational objectives Pass Pega Decisioning Architect certification exam in first year Master's Degree in Marketing, Marketing, Statistics, Data Science, or a related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, training, or experience Relevant certifications in data analysis, data science, or marketing analytics can be a plus
