Basic Job Functions:
The role of the Shift Supervisor includes, but is not limited to, a proven leader who communicates and enforces Nucor's safety policies and procedures along with supporting the goals of the division/department. This person will be required to lead, coach and develop our teammates in all aspects of the production operation. They are also responsible for their personal growth and development while driving continual improvement in safety, quality, cost, productivity and profitability. They must also be able to think strategically and make sure that we maximize the availability and efficiency of the department. The Shift Supervisor will be expected to actively participate in meetings and other activities before, during, and after regularly scheduled work hours. The successful candidate will be assigned to either the EAF or Caster areas within the Melt Shop but may be reassigned to a different area in the future. Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of Melting/Casting supervisory experience in a Steel Mill.
Ability to work in the United States without Sponsorship

Preferences:
Four-year college degree or other education, training, or certifications that show evidence of desire for growth and personal improvement, particularly in areas which compliment job performance.
