Description
A large healthcare facility is seeking a proficient and compassionate individual to join our team in the role of Medical Front Office. The successful candidate will act as the first point of contact for our patients, providing a welcoming, organized, and efficient front office service.
Responsibilities:
Greet patients upon arrival and provide outstanding customer service during their hospital visit.
Manage patient intake, including records updating and scheduling appointments using our EPIC electronic health record system.
Conduct insurance verification and benefits explanation processes, and coordinate with patients’ healthcare providers when necessary.
Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
Handle various administrative tasks, such as answering phone calls, patient check-in/check-out, and managing patient inquiries.
Collaborate with the medical team to ensure smooth patient flow and reduced waiting time.
Assist with administrative tasks, including scanning, faxing, and filing sensitive medical documents.
Requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
A minimum of 1+ years of experience in a healthcare or medical office setting.
Previous experience with EPIC or similar electronic health record systems is preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an empathetic and patient-centered approach.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Profound understanding of medical terminologies and insurance processes.
Compliance with all health and safety regulations.
