The Medical Policy Implementation Coordinator works with the Medical Policy and Utilization Management (UM) Implementation Team to manage the operations of the medical policy development and implementation process as well other UM activities. This role will provide non-clinical project management and implementation support. A Day in the Life: Manage the operational components of the Medical Policy decision making committees that lead up to medical policy approval (i.e. Medical Behavioral Health Committee, Coverage Committee, and prep meetings leading up to formal committees)-including meeting coordination, issues management, minutes, follow-up, payment, etc. Designs and maintains spreadsheets and documents, databases and other systems for record keeping, project tracking and reporting to meet management requirements. Monitor and track the Medical Policy and UM issues such as requests from vendors, medical policy inquiries from providers, etc. Coordinates and performs special projects and assignments within specific time frames. Preparation and posting of new/revised and consent policies. Assist in maintaining policy tracking and status during implementation. Assist with Medical/Behavioral Health policy database updates and changes. Creation of reports and dashboards for Medical Policy and UM Implementation. Team Project management support as needed. Nice to Have: Associate's or Bachelors Degree in business or related field. Knowledge of medical terminology. Project management experience. Required Skills and Experiences: 2+ years of related professional experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered. Experience in a health care setting. Intermediate-advanced knowledge of Microsoft office suite. Experience in database management. Ability to manage key details and keep areas of accountability organized. Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritize effectively.
