The Medical Operations Manager will be essential in managing project within the medical affairs function, involving all therapeutic areas across the Biogen Portfolio in the Nordic & Baltic countries. Responsibilities include ownership and facilitation of medical education programs, plan and execute medical projects, organize and support internal- and external events and in collaboration with the medical team members. The role will also be essential in supporting the progress of larger, strategic projects and partnerships such as Data Generation and clinical trial support, and engage with strategic partners, key stakeholders and scientific institutions across the Nordic and Baltic region. The aim of the role is to evolve Biogen as a leader in Neuroscience and rare disease, by ensuring excellence in medical operations and project management within the medical affairs function.
What You’ll Do
Project Management and excellence in medical operations
Plan and organize key projects and events for the medical affairs function in alignment with the medical lead and the medical liaison managers (MLMs)Secure proper information sharing and communication among member of the medical affairs group and cross- functional teams as appropriateSupport and monitor the medical affairs budget on cluster- and country level in alignment with the medical leadCollaborate with EU medical teams and selected project leadsWork closely with the entire medical affairs group to identify and improve areas of operations that could be further developedWork closely with the Biogen omnichannel/digital team to evolve how the medical function interacts with the external counterparts Support MLMs with business critical elements such as purchasing orders, engagements tool and legal contracts/agreements Strategy planning and support
Support key medical project in the cluster on strategic level, in alignment with global/EU medical teams.Support the implementation of medical strategies and medical education programs on the country- and cluster levelSupport MLMs in the planning and preparation of high-impact activities such as medical webinars, scientific symposia and advisory boards on the country- and cluster levelSupport MLMs with medical plan processes across the therapeutic areas Collaboration Manager with key partners in the Nordic and Baltic Cluster (Universities, scientific societies and national disease registries)
Organize and manage joint advisory committee meetingsfor the partnership with Karolinska Institute, Stockholm, SwedenOrganize and manage meetings for the strategic partnerships with universities, scientific societies ad disease registries within the Nordic and Baltic regionMonitor the progress of the projects and work with the investigators to ensure progress with the country MLM as appropriateIdentify new potential new Data Generation/collaboration projectsCapture learning and best practice for the collaborations that can be shared internally and between organizationsIn close collaboration with MLM identify unmet needs for patients and identify potential solutions that address their needs.Liaise with patient advocacy responsible colleague and MLMs to receive patients ‘inputs to align and design patients’ unique needs. You have a passion for cross-functional collaboration and a proven track record of successful project management within the pharmaceutical industry. You have the experience to strategize and implement initiatives that contribute to the advancement of medical strategies and education within Biogen.
Qualifications University degree, preferably within natural scienceMinimum 2 years relevant and documented experience of Project management within a pharmaceutical businessStrong project leader skillsStrong presentation & communication skillsHas demonstrated MSL core behaviors and acquired knowledge and skills/competencies to the degree expected at this job level.Ability to communicate and work in English.Experience in interaction with health authorities Additional Information
