Job Details As the Medical Informaticist in the Catholic Health department of Digital & Technology Solutions (DTS), this role plays a crucial part in supporting and facilitating the connection between clinical operations and technology. It focuses on integrating quality, safety, and regulatory standards into daily medical practices. The position involves collaborating with clinical leaders and contributing significantly to improvements in patient care through medical informatics initiatives. Key responsibilities include optimizing clinical workflows, implementing medical informatics strategies, and providing data-driven solutions to enhance both patient and provider experiences. Working under the guidance of the CMIO, the Medical Informaticist is essential in advancing healthcare through innovative technology and evidence-based practices, acting as a key supporter in the deployment of these initiatives. Duties and Responsibilities: Work collaboratively with the Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) to support day-to-day medical informatics requests, projects, and initiatives, serving as a pivotal contributor in this area. Collaborate with informatics analysts on the development and optimization of orders, order sets, and Best Practice Alerts (BPAs). Assist with the implementation and education of medical informatics initiatives. Act as a liaison between Information Technology and clinical teams. Conduct clinical analysis and design for medical informatics, enhancing clinical content, workflows, and data usage within electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Collaborate with lead physicians and credentialed trainers on provider education for broader training across the physician community. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, enhancing the quality and safety of patient care through data-driven insights. Support and advocate for the use of technology to improve patient outcomes and overall healthcare delivery, assisting in strategy socialization, execution, and maintenance. Ensure Health Information Security by working with the security team to adhere to privacy regulations and safeguard patient data. Support clinician experience and engagement initiatives as part of the Clinician Engagement strategic portfolio Analyze data to assess the outcomes and efficacy of initiatives. Work under limited supervision on moderately to highly complex issues, requiring in-depth evaluation and analysis. Monitor and report on the adoption and usage post-implementation of projects. Evaluate the outcomes of clinical initiatives in collaboration with corporate departments. Position Requirements and Qualifications New York State License as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP). Minimum 5 years of relevant clinical experience in an inpatient or ambulatory setting using Epic EMR. Preference for candidates with informatics experience. EPIC Physician Builder Certification or the ability to become certified within the first six months of employment. Salary Range USD $100,000.00 - USD $120,000.00 /Yr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
