This position is full-time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or weekends.
We offer up to 2 – 2.5 weeks of paid training. The hours during training will be 7:00am – 3:30pm Central, Monday - Friday. Training will be conducted virtually from your home.

Primary Responsibilities:

Complete an extensive Medical Health Questionnaire (MHQ) and exposure form via telephone interview with members within the identified case management supported program. Electronically submit interview information through an internal database system to generate a summary for the members monitoring exam.

Triage incoming calls
Acknowledges member’s rights on confidentiality issues, maintains patient confidentiality at all times, and follows HIPAA guidelines and regulations
Complete daily department tasks as assigned

Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
Must be 18 years of age OR older
2+ years of experience in a customer service environment
Experience with medical terminology or completion of medical terminology course
Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office
Ability to work our normal business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm CST
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge and understanding of CPT and ICD coding
National Career Readiness Certificate
Vocational or Technical Training/Education (Medical Assistant, Nursing Assistant, etc.) or Clinical Upskilling course
Telecommuting Requirements:
Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.
Soft Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication, telephone etiquette and interpersonal skills
Must have strong organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills
