Oregon Medical Group is seeking applications for full-time Medical Assistant Apprentices to begin our next cohort in April 2024. We are a growing, multi-specialty practice that includes over 750 dedicated providers and staff at multiple locations within Eugene and Springfield.
Medical Assistant training will last approximately 12 months. Upon completion, Apprentices will become certified and transition into Medical Assistant roles within Oregon Medical Group (2-year service commitment after training is required).
The MA Apprentice will increasingly gain responsibility for providing assistance to the healthcare clinician by providing direct patient care. Training consists of 2,000 hours of on-the-job training, 410 hours of online coursework, and offsite lab days. Tuition cost will be paid by OMG and the MA Apprentice will be placed in a primary care (family/internal medicine or pediatrics) clinic with a one-on-one MA Mentor to work and learn on the job full-time.

At UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone. We believe everyone–of every race, gender, sexuality, age, location and income–deserves the opportunity to live their healthiest life. Today, however, there are still far too many barriers to good health which are disproportionately experienced by people of color, historically marginalized groups and those with lower incomes. We are committed to mitigating our impact on the environment and enabling and delivering equitable care that addresses health disparities and improves health outcomes - an enterprise priority reflected in our mission.
