About the Role
Responsibilities
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive difference on our business by:
Playing a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of efficient and effective maintenance, repair, problem solving and improvement of assets and their availability across the site.
Working closely with site personnel to ensure all maintenance is effectively developed and delivered and to provide feedback on relative improvements across the site.
Implementing and developing maintenance programmes that support and improve asset performance and utilisation.
Promptly and appropriately responding to plant breakdowns and to secure & repair the root cause to minimise downtime.
Reporting any outcome of plant maintenance issues via SAP to ensure best practice has been shared.
Keeping Health & safety compliance and high-quality standards are the forefront of your work.
We are looking for someone who has strong interpersonal skills, can communicate to all levels, develop key relationships and have the ability to make effective decisions and drive improvements using specialist knowledge. We would love to talk to someone who has the ability to use initiative and push forward their own ideas whilst offering guidance and support for our current approaches.
You are available to work dayshift: Fri-Sun 07:00-19:00; and nightshift: Fri-Sun 19:00-07:00
Requirements
You’ll have the drive to make a positive difference to manufacturing excellence and use your excellent analytical skills to solve problems.
You'll be a time served Mechanical Engineer with the relevant qualifications and have demonstrable knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and environmental risk principles.
It'd be great if you had a knowledge of working in the FMCG industry however this is not essential.
