Corning’s Environmental Technologies segment manufactures ceramic substrates and filter products for emissions control in mobile and stationary applications around the world.
Ongoing Responsibility
Provide leadership and ownership in problem solving to ensure timely troubleshooting on measurement equipment issues
Follow up measurement related open issues and coordinate necessary support from internal/external resource to fix the issues
Work closely with cross-functional teams to evaluate the capability & capacity of existing measurement equipment and implement continuous improvement
Work closely with IT engineers to develop necessary reports of measurement equipment for end users
Regularly check and monitor measurement equipment through PI, JMP reports, IMS reports and other tools to ensure measurement data integrity
Set up new process & equipment parameters and prepare necessary tooling for new products introduction
Make annual MSA plan and conduct annual MSA to meet customer requirement
Develop fundamental understanding of measurement equipment
Update of WI, CP, and PFMEA for screen printing and training of operators for qualification
Update of trouble-shooting guides and training of maintenance
Management of consumables to ensure supply for production with proper inventory
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Precise Instrument.
More than 3 years’ experience in process/equipment management or related work is preferred
Required Competency (Skills, Knowledge and Abilities)
Strong sense of ownership and teamwork
Strong problem-solving skills with deep diving spirit
Good English reading, writing, and communication skills
Good statistics and reporting capability
Basic understanding of mechanical & electrical theory
Knowledge of metrology gauges operation and calibration is a plus
Knowledge of MSA is a plus
