Location
This position will be based out of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
Responsibilities
• Implement site safety program
• Ensure workers have correct tools and are following safe work procedures
• Ensure work is built to required tolerances
• Assist with work plan and method statement development for work
• Plan upcoming work- manpower, equipment, and materials
• Assist with 3 week look ahead schedules with manpower, equipment and subcontractors
• Supervise hourly workers (Foremen)
• Make sure workers and site are running efficiently
• Manpower projections

Qualifications
• A strong background in the heavy civil construction industry is required for this position.
• Civil Engineering Technician course from college or university considered an asset

• Regular, reliable attendance
• Work productively and meet deadlines timely
• Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment
• Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
• Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
