Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Manage material processes and systems, prepare and update production schedules and purchasing needs. Ensure operational alignment with production plan and KPIs. Optimize inventory and process improvements.
Work with Dowty Sterling and Brockworth teams to coordinate direct and indirect material supply that supports the aftermarket services that will be happening in WRAFB.
Work in Oracle and with the WRAFB personnel to replenish stock of material - direct and indirect
Will work to directly order indirect materials that support the WRAF base
Be open to travel to Sterling facility as needed for training and collaboration
Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.
Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.
Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
Collaborates with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in manufacturing/production or materials management).Desired Characteristics
Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
Experience with Oracle system
