Job Description
BAE systems is looking for a experienced professional to join an integrated production planning and material logistics team. The Materials Lead coordinates and refines material logistics processes to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet demand requirements. This individual collaborates to effectively manage physical inventory strategies by optimizing production flow and inventory accuracy. This role will support multiple organizations in our manufacturing enterprise, including OEM production and Aftermarket Repairs and Spares and will directly support manufacturing, materials, and planning support personnel. The Materials Lead will coordinate activities supporting strategic improvements to our materials replenishment processes and assist in developing measures, reports, and corrective actions to maintain KPI's at acceptable levels.
Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site.
This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Advanced working knowledge of MS Office
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proven problem solving abilities
Demonstrated ability to anticipate and drive resolution to issues
Strong communication and interpersonal skills necessary for working with diverse work teams across various functional areas
Planning or materials experience in a production environment
Oracle (Inventory/Kanban/Order Management Proficiency)
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Electronics materials/manufacturing experience
Lean manufacturing/Continuous improvement training
Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt
Microsoft Excel proficiency
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $48060 - $81720

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
