About Material Handler II

  JOB REQUIREMENTS: This position assists in the proper handling ofmaterials, maintaining inventory accuracy, and internal and/or externalcustomer service for a given location within CarlisleIT. Performs avariety of stockroom functions including production order picking,warehouse storage, inventory control, supply documentation, data input,and material distribution and/or delivery as assigned per locationrequirements. Works with a team to ensure smooth and efficient dailyoperations within a Carlisle IT facility. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS *Assists in maintaining the flow of work and materials based on scheduledsupplier deliveries, customer orders, and other internal or externaldelivery requirements according to established priorities. * Performsand ensures accurate and timely RF gun and physical transactions as wellas verifies accuracy of transactions/paperwork regarding stocking,movement, or other required material or goods activities. * May usepallet jack, scales or other machinery to disperse and move material. *May prepare, mark/label/tag and/or package materials or goods forreceipt, storage, delivery or shipment according to location or customerrequirements. * Maintains and improves inventory accuracy. Assists orconducts activities such cycle counts, physical counts, hand counts orother inventory validation and control measures as assigned. * Adheresto all factory safety procedures and guidelines. * Maintains clean,organized work environment and adheres to all safety standards,procedures and regulations. * Contributes to team effort in acollaborative and supportive manner. *Other duties as required insupport of the department and the company* SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIESThis job has no supervisory responsibilities QUALIFICATIONS To performthis job successfully, an individual must be able to perform eachessential job function satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/orEXPERIENCE * High school diploma or GED. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES,REGISTRATIONS * None LANGUAGE SKILLS * Ability to read, write, speakand understand English. * Excellent written and verbal communicationskills. Articulate with use of good grammar skills. * A team playerthat can relate to people at all levels of the organization andpossesses excellent communication skills with high ethical standards anda positive professional image. Job Skills * Sound knowledge offundamental material handling processes as applicable including customerorder fulfillment activities & packaging, inventory control anddisposition, supply documentation, data and transactional management,material distribution and/or delivery, warehouse or stockroom controltechniques, and cycle or physical counting. * Ability to be flexibleand able to function comfortably in a fast paced, constantly changingand ambiguous environment. * Demonstrates sound judgment when followingthrough with priorities. * Ability to effectively to questions frommanagers and employees. * Ability to work with basic mathematicalconcepts with respect to job-related situations. * Ability to handleinterruptions and maintain focus. * Experience working with an RF Gunpreferred. * Understanding and experience in Lean manufacturingenvironment. Participate in continuous improvement projects and 5Srelated performance teams. * Writing skills required to completedocuments and forms * Reliable and flexible to work additional hours onshort notice to complete orders and/or special projects to meet customerdemands. * A team player that can relate to people at all levels of theorganization and possesses excellent communication skills.
