The Marketing Specialist II will join the Optum Pacific West Marketing & Brand team - and will be responsible for marketing programs, campaigns, and initiatives that support the growth of the care delivery organizations in the Optum Oregon market. You will help coordinate, develop, and execute marketing solutions designed to drive patient growth, patient retention, and the health of the brand across a variety of integrated marketing channels including print collateral, direct mail, websites, social media, content, in-clinic merchandising, and more.
The right candidate for the team would be a self-starting, strategic thinking, organized multitasker able to handle many diverse projects at once and meet tight deadlines. The right candidate will demonstrate creativity in problem solving, develop a broad set of marketing capabilities, have a knack for storytelling, and exhibit intense curiosity to learn, grow, and be a part of a stellar team.

Primary Responsibilities:
Managing the end-to-end planning, execution, and evaluation of market-wide growth and retention marketing programs; identifying target audiences, leading positioning, and messaging, and determining marketing tactics and channels for the Optum Oregon market Align messaging, channel execution and optimization of marketing campaigns aimed at driving regional growth across patients (B2C), prospects, clinics, providers, and employer/broker audiences (B2B) Serve as a functional marketing POC for mergers and acquisition projects, developing strategies for new clinic launches based on analysis of target markets, local competitive pressures, and customer demographic targets Providing strategic marketing consultation and guidance to stakeholders such as operational leaders and growth team leads, using data to develop thoughtful business analyses to inform marketing recommendations Collaborate with regional growth, operations, compliance, and agencies to support provider campaign launches and build program advocacy through thought leadership, training, best practice sharing, and playbooks Analyze marketing campaign performance to inform future process and performance improvements - in close partnership with marketing operations, analytics, and CRM teammates Performs additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in both digital (website, email, paid media) and direct marketing (print and collateral) planning, campaign development and project management in a cross-functional, enterprise environment 3+ years of experience developing strategic creative briefs Experience measuring, monitoring, and reporting on marketing performance and deriving insights - including campaign optimization, ROI and conversion analysis, A/B testing, segmentation analysis Experience in managing relationships with vendors, with brokers, payors, community partners, and with senior leaders and operators Experience and proficiency with customer segmentation and population targeting such as multicultural and senior segments Advanced competency in driving projects in a highly matrixed organization from inception, strategy development, execution to measurement Proven outstanding written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and present information professionally across many different levels of stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college and/or a professional certification requiring formal education beyond a two-year college Healthcare marketing experience Experience in motivating and developing staff (engagement and readiness) Solid demonstrated expertise in both B2C and B2B marketing strategy Proven solid written and verbal communication and presentation skills Proven solid organizational, multi-tasking, problem solving, and follow-up skills Proven excellent interpersonal skills, service oriented, and culturally sensitive Proven creative and hands-on team player Proven flexible, comfortable with ambiguity, and adaptable to change
