Job Description
Avery Dennison Materials Group North America, is seeking a Marketing Communications Manager to join the Label and Packaging Materials North America marketing organization. This role will partner with marketing, sales and other key business unit partners for the Label and Packaging Materials Division. You will plan, execute, supervise and evaluate marketing communications programs and campaigns using an appropriate combination of internal and external resources to support overall business objectives.
We are looking for a creative individual with a real talent for developing strong communication plans, who is a digital native, confident with 360 comms activation, event planning and executing media relations and digital campaigns. You will lead the development and execution of strategic communication initiatives. Key responsibilities:
Content Creation:
Supervise the creation of engaging and impactful product marketing content for various channels, including digital, print, and social media.
Collaborate with internal teams and subject matter experts to develop thought leadership pieces, case studies, and other relevant content.
Manage and maintain externally facing product content
Be able to proofread and edit marketing communication content
Media Relations:
Maintain relationships with key media outlets and influencers.
Proactively seek opportunities for media coverage and manage media inquiries effectively.
Digital Marketing:
Drive digital marketing initiatives, including email campaigns and content marketing.
Analyze digital marketing performance metrics and optimize strategies for increased efficiency and report quarterly.
Event Management:
Plan, coordinate, and execute successful events, such as product launches, trade shows, and webinars.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless event execution.
Qualifications
5-8 years of related experience in a B2B or B2C organization
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with Cision or similar monitoring tools
Proficiency in Google, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
Have the ability to work independently in some situations (with leadership from the manager) and to build relationships.
Have very strong teamwork and collaboration skills
Has the ability to lead the completion of projects including planning; assigning, monitoring and reviewing progress and accuracy of work; evaluating results, etc.
Skilled in crafting slides for presentations (both customer-facing and internal).
Skilled in developing clear, succinct articulation of communication and creative objectives in the form of project briefs.
Strong copywriting, editing, proofreading skills.
Ability to evaluate creative and provide clear and concise feedback
