About the team
We are a small but mighty market research team. We support the marketing, sales and product organization to solve important business problems. Potential projects include identifying emerging market opportunities, going deep to understand a specific market, conducting qualitative research to build deep customer empathy. We're looking for a candidate who is curious and tenacious to find critical answers to grow our business. In some cases you will be supporting on-going research projects, and in others you will be given a project to lead with guidance from the Research Manager.
What you'll bring
Qualifications you'll bring:Must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree or postgraduate program in a related field and be able to work from May 2024 to August 2024.Highly detail oriented and pay close attention to the specifics of problems, questions and projects. Self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills; great attitude and go-getter spirit.Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills.Demonstrated analytical experience, with the ability to develop and understand strategy.Passion for storytelling with data to inform decisions.Knowledge of research methodology, techniques and analysis is an asset.Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and relevant software applications is an asset.Ability to ask for help when needed, while taking steps to problem solve independently.When it gets right down to it - we are looking for someone "super-smart" and "super-keen".

How you'll lead: Work alongside the Manager, Research to provide any support required, while also working with cross-functional teamsWork in Qualtrics to program surveys, collect and analyze resultsAssist with creating research reportsDesk research to provide in-depth understanding of market conditions and opportunitiesPresent findings to stakeholders and in team meetings with the larger Marketing organization for QuickBooks CanadaParticipate actively in team events, both on and offsite
Please note that we are a hybrid team, and the candidate is expected to be in the Toronto office 2 to 3 times per week.
