Summary of Position:
The Market Investment Executive (MIE) oversees the expansion of investment business for high net worth clients. The MIE serves as the market's chief investment officer, helping to communicate the firm's thought leadership.
Responsibilities include developing customized investment strategies, expanding the business and delivering investment management services, risk management, compliance, coaching and developing all investment talent. MIEs partner closely with the ME and other leaders in the market, to deliver on strategic growth priorities, in addition to supporting the Client Management Process (CMP) to deliver a Branded Client Experience (BCE). The MIE is expected to reinforce a culture of responsible growth, proactive risk management and delivering the enterprise through business integration.
The MIE reports to the Market Executive, overseeing a team of Portfolio Managers and/or Trust Officers. Based on the needs in the division, the MIE may also support additional markets.

Proven market leadership experience in investment management
Deep understanding of high net worth clients' needs and investment solutions
Ability to effectively manage risks and ensure adherence to policy
Strong business judgment and decision making
Ability to attract, select, develop and retain talent
Strong knowledge of Private Bank and enterprise capabilities with ability to work collaboratively to make connections, resolve issues & remove obstacles
Communicates in a clear and compelling manner with employees, clients, and enterprise partners (executive presence)
Strong influencing, listening, probing & relationship management skills (high EQ)
Major Responsibilities:
Investment Management:
Troubleshoots and resolves investment-related client issues
Drives consistent client experience through implementation of centralization and standardization, where appropriate
Understands platform; responsible for communication and education of offerings
Ensures that we are bringing in business that is appropriate for our platform
Regulatory/Policy Risk Management:
Ensures all fiduciary standards, Private Bank/regulatory compliance and risk policies are understood and consistently applied within the market
Accountability for key risk and business oversight processes: asset allocation, performance, Reg 9, IPS and daily transaction monitoring/quality
Drives Responsible Growth in the Market:
Delivers on key metrics; supports driving responsible growth
Executes against Private Bank strategy and priorities, tailored to local market dynamics and competitor footprint
Ensures sound decision making on business selection in accordance with risk appetite
Promotes consistency of the client investment experience across the market
Partners with market leadership to ensure resolution of issues/obstacles
Talent Management:
Recruits, hires, develops, retains top talent; supports compensation and resource decisions
Coaches across roles on driving responsible growth and risk management
Drives employee engagement and culture of inclusion
Ensures team members are appropriately trained
Acts quickly to address performance issues
