Job Summary
The role of the Market Intelligence Analyst for Asia-Pacific is to assist the Asia-Pacific Regional Lead in producing and delivering insights on external market and competitive trends to key internal stakeholders, including but not limited to regional executive leadership, managing directors of countries, sales leaders, marketing decision-makers, and regional corporate/business development. This includes the production of both qualitative and quantitative insights. The role requires that the Analyst monitor, understand, and summarize market developments daily and be able to use their industry knowledge to identify and communicate the implications to our business.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to gather and synthesize data and research and to add value to the organization by producing insights that go beyond publicly available information. A successful candidate for this role will be able to identify the business implications of market developments, discern the relevance for the audience, and concisely communicate them to the Regional Lead and, if necessary, directly to regional stakeholders. To meet the requirements of our organization, the candidate should have a strong and demonstrable analytics background as well as the willingness and aptitude to learn new analytics tools to ensure that they are using all the means at their disposal to deliver value. This role requires a candidate who is able to operate independently to ensure their work is accurate, precise, and of the highest quality, while coordinating with the Asia Pacific Regional Lead. Since Equinix operates in a fast-paced and everchanging environment, this will oftentimes require adhering to strict deadlines and working with several teams simultaneously, meaning the candidate should have strong time management and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities
Gather and synthesize market research from a variety of sources, including but not limited to internal teams, third-party analysts, company financial documents, and industry media reportsStay on top of industry, customer, and competitor trends and identify the key business implications for the organizationMaintain critical updated repository of market and competitor data, including being able to work proficiently with a variety of analytics tools, software, and databasesCreate insights products to be distributed to internal audiences with minimal oversightMaintain contacts with regional stakeholders and be able to provide prompt, accurate support on key initiatives, including urgent sales support and strategic decision-makingCommunicate business implications with accuracy and confidence to key regional stakeholders directly when necessary, including through both written and verbal channelsDeliver support to other Equinix teams on cross-functional initiatives, including being able to collaborate with global teams located in different time zonesRegularly contribute to the evolution of the Market Intelligence team portfolio of insights products with new ideas and suggestions
Qualifications
2 year's experience in the data center, cloud, telecommunications, software, or other technology-related fieldSharp business acumen and the ability to clearly understand and communicate the relevance of external trendsAbility to utilize analytics skills and tools to provide business insights and the willingness to continually learn new tools and processesPreferred Qualifications:Expertise working with notable technology industry analyst firms such as Gartner & IDC1 year's Tableau experienceKnowledge of a local language in one of the countries of operation for Equinix Asia-Pacific is beneficial but not requiredTime management skills and the ability to meet strict deadlinesFull professional proficiency in written and verbal business EnglishProficiency in using Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)Strong communication skills and ability to work in a global collaborative team environment
