About the role / Segment
As a Marine Design Architect, you are a senior role within the Professional Services team, here you work productively with Consultants, Architects, Project Managers, and other internal & external interfaces to ensure that the customer succeeds in their objectives.
You are responsible for leading the translation of business requirements into specific process aligned designs using Siemens PLM Software solutions. The solution design will require extensive knowledge of the marine industry domain, CAD and PLM product expertise (preferably NX and Teamcenter), best practices of the subject domain and then the technical leadership to bring this together and apply a solution to a complex marine enterprise customer.
Success is a simple solution that delivers value to the customer quickly enabling rapid adoption and room to expand with further capabilities.
Area of responsibility
Act as the ultimate authority on architectural design to address business problems. Provides direction for process design, process integration and process change activities on marine customer projects.
Translate marine business requirements into specific process aligned designs for the Siemens PLM Software solution and support others within the process.
Keep up to date with Solution Architecture practice, maintaining an understanding of latest technical, process and industry trends, and champion these in everyday project use.
Mentoring and Knowledge Sharing with team members
Act as solution consultant to strategic Sales/Presales pursuits and Services projects in the marine industry domain, providing guidance through the complexity of solution architecture options and the long-term roadmap for the solution.
Your qualifications
Degree or equivalent professional qualification in Science or Engineering, Computer Studies or similar
Understands and has demonstrable years of experience as Solution Architect or similar role within marine industry or supplier to the marine industry
Shipbuilding CAD knowledge and integration into PLM system, preferably Teamcenter
Either already UK Security Cleared or able to achieve UK security clearance
Experienced leader of technical projects
Demonstrates excellent communication skills, both interpersonal and explaining technical solutions to varying stakeholders
