This Position is for a Manufacturing Engineering Technician (SG 23) Job with a company located in Columbus.
Job Summary: Manufacturing Engineering Technician (SG 23). PACCAR is a Fortune 500 company established in 1905. Duties And Responsibilities: Review New Product Designs for Manufacturability; Develop New Machining Processes for CGI Engine Components; Provide Manufacturing/Machining Process Definition and Documentation; Provide/confirm tooling plans/drawings to meet machining process requirements; Specify and procure and approve necessary tools and equipment for Machining cutting operations; Provide direction of time and work sequence studies and reviews and recommends adjustments to manufacturing/tool room operations; Achieve stability in all engine related processes by establishing process FMEAs, developing and implementing process controls and optimizing the individual workstations to maximize output; Support the simultaneous engineering requirement put on the engine plant through various new engine development projects and to plan, define and implement the related process changes within the given time frame of each of these projects; Provide direction of time and work sequence studies and reviews and recommends adjustments to manufacturing operations; Determines and balances operations manning with production schedules, develops standard operation times, conducts various studies; Develops procedures and plant arrangements to ensure proper material handling and storage; Reviews engineering designs for manufacturing feasibility and recommends changes as necessary; Maintains control documents per ISO requirements; Participate in commissioning and new product launch activities.
Education and Qualifications: Proven problem-solving skills; Excellent technical, verbal, written, and presentation skills; Proven ability to work in a self-directed environment is preferred; BS or BA Degree in a technical field with 2 years' work experience or 4-6 yrs. experience in an equivalent technical role.
