Come soar with us!Collins Aerospace is currently seeking student engineers to support Manufacturing Engineering for our Goodrich Hoist & Winch product line, based in Anaheim, CA. This site is undergoing an Operations transformation, and there are many opportunities for improving production throughput, productivity, and quality, to ultimately reduce cost and optimize customer satisfaction. This is truly a great opportunity for making a big impact on the business and how work gets done on the shop floor. This position is full-time, Monday-Friday, and will run May/June to December; it is only eligible for current students with a graduation date past December 2024.may be eligible for relocation.Primary Responsibilities:
Standardize production processes and create supporting work instructions to ensure consistency.Process observation and establishment of production standard hours.Perform root cause analysis to identify the true underlying problems, to then drive solution generation and implementation.Develop tooling to enable more consistent and efficient processing.Identify opportunities for improving workflow, data collection and reporting, to ultimately improve transparency and response time for identifying and solving production issues.Support non-conformance resolution, with an eye on preventing future recurrence.Basic Qualifications:Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.Preferred Qualifications:Completed Sophomore year in college prior to commencement of roleSelf-starter with strong communication, problem-solving, and presentation skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentCAD experienceConfident in establishing new relationships and taking initiative to figure things out and get stuff doneExperience with data analysisLean Six Sigma and/or project management experienceProgramming experience is a plusCollins Aerospace, a Raytheon Technologies company, is a leader in technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry. Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.
Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.
