Description: This specific position will support the PAC-3 International Manufacturing Engineering Team working Poland offsets. This team is focused on reviewing, redacting, and releasing Manufacturing Data Package (MDP) elements while also coordinating the ordering, fabrication and delivery of Special Tools, Special Test Equipment, Capital Equipment and Shop Equipment. This can include providing state side support to expatriates working in-country, preparation of technical documentation for export, technical support for the training of foreign nationals and many other tasks required for successful completion of our contracts.
This Manufacturing Engineering team coordinates with all necessary LMMFC PAC-3 Production sites to gain & transfer all knowledge and processes required to prepare the Offset companies to successfully build all Offset program end items and to prepare each Offsetee for potential future production.
Specific tasks include assisting in the identification, acquisition, installation and deployment of Manufacturing equipment and tooling to expand the capacity of a current supplier manufacturing PAC-3 Launch Tubes. Provide technical guidance and timely problem resolution to Offset companies regarding Tooling, Work Instructions and Manufacturing Processes.
These activities require collaboration with other disciplines including Design Engineering, Quality Engineering, Global Supply Chain, Finance, Production Planning and Control, Contracts, Master Planning, and Program Management. Will provide Data Package development, ensure tools & equipment are ordered, delivered and ready for production, prepare in-country suppliers, document preparation prior to export, production line validation and any other manufacturing related tasks that are needed to get the production line running and qualified.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
Ability to obtain a security clearance
SAP Experience
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.
Ability to interpret drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, product/performance specifications and other systems integration technical data.
Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.).
Ability to build positive relationships with customers.
Demonstrated effective communication skills including verbal, listening, technical writing and presentations.
Desired Skills:
Bachelors or higher degree in an engineering discipline.
Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification.
Experience interfacing with customers, international suppliers and program personnel on manufacturing related issues.
Windchill / DMATS / Creo 4.
Experience manufacturing machined parts, electro-mechanical assemblies and/or wire harnesses.
Familiarity with Polish language, writing, reading and speaking.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
