  The Manufacturing Electrical Engineer Co-op will work at the Melbourne, FL facility for the Summer and Fall semesters of 2024. This position is for an Electrical Engineering student interested in gaining hands-on experience in manufacturing with the process of acceptance testing of product. The selected candidate will work in a cross-functional team that applies Manufacturing concepts, techniques, analysis, and decision tools to promote and implement changes. The candidate should have good written and verbal communication skills that is willing to learn and has the ability to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This position is full-time, Monday-Friday, and will run May/June to December; it is only eligible for current students with a graduation date past December 2024.

  Primary Responsibilities:

  Collect test failure information and prepare failure analysis reports as required for production.

  Assist in analyzing test failures for root causes and corrective actions.

  Analysis of various manufacturing data; i.e. Work In Process (WIP), test output & failures, and Statistical Process Control (SPC)

  Assist with optimizing test flow relative to cost constraints.

  Assist in developing and preparing test and diagnostic programs to aid in the troubleshooting of test failures

  Development and management of test documentation, test fixtures, and cables.

  Works with Electrical Engineers and Test Technicians to understand product and test system issues

  Basic Qualifications:

  Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

  U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

  The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

  Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

  Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

  This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
