Job Description
To support our research in the field of "AI robotics", with a focus on our mobile robotics application of last mile delivery, we are currently seeking a compulsory intern (m/f/d) with an immediate starting date for a duration of 3-5 months at our location in Berlin.
It is possible to combine a compulsory internship with a voluntary internship of up to 3 months. You will work in a dedicated, innovative team of Continental employees (m/f/d), Ph.D. students (m/f/d), and students (m/f/d) at our AI Lab in Berlin.
As part of our AI robotics team, your tasks as an intern will include:
Work with our local project team on the deployment of our last mile delivery robot Corriere on our test sites and in public space in BerlinSetup up and configure our AI-based autonomous navigation software stack as well as the teleoperation on our real-world robotsTest and evaluate our robot Corriere under real-world conditions with respect to defined criteria such as safety measuresAdapt existing and develop new functionalities for our AI-based software stack and cloud servicesApply your knowledge to real-world robotics applications hands-onBe an active member of our young research focused team of students (m/f/d), Ph.D. students (m/f/d) and Ph.D.s (m/f/d) at our AI Lab BerlinAdditional Information

QualificationsStudiesin Computer/ Electrical/ Electronic/ Mechatronic/ Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or other MINT disciplineKnowledge in at least one of the following fields: machine learning, computer vision, navigation, localization/mapping, control theory and dynamics or optimizationGood programming skills in, e.g., Python, C++, Rust, Matlab or other is a mustBasic knowledge of Robot Operating System (ROS) is required, advanced knowledge of ROS is a plusFirst experience with real-world systems, ideally in robotics, is a plusConfident handling of MS Office-programsFluent English language skills, written and spoken, and German language skills are a plusSelf-directed and able to work without supervisionEnergetic and eager to learnAbility to work in a team and intercultural skillsPlease remember to attach your current certificate of enrollment and also your current transcripts of records and an extract of certificate for a mandatory internship.
