Managing Director - Debt Capital Markets (DCM) & Cross Origination Latam

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
The role is responsible for origination of Debt Capital Markets and overall debt solutions across Latin America, with specific focus in Sovereign issuers, Central America and special situations debt solutions that require a combination of different products within the organization. Will guide the product strategy and prioritization, coordinate work across initiatives and liaise with stakeholders across Santander. S/He will translate business needs into product plans that incorporate appropriate research and stakeholder input
Identifies and pursues new opportunities within existing or untapped public and private debt capital markets. Gathers market intelligence, generates leads, and develops proposals/campaigns to garner new business, ensuring a consistent flow of new revenues to the company. Uses knowledge of markets, industries, and clients to determine demand, future trends and potential projects.
Essential Functions/Responsibility Statements:
Sovereign DCM coverage.Solves new business problems that drive the business forwards, connecting the different product capabilities within Santander for special situations / client opportunities.Creates new products by researching developments in the industry and understanding the problems that need to be solved on behalf of the team.Promote improvement in product quality and the development of new sources of revenue.

Education:
Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent degree, and/or or equivalent work experience.
Work Experience:
10-15+ years.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong sovereign relationships.Ability to present high-level information as well as detailed demonstrations of products & services.Ability to analyze, determine, drive and build solutions independently and proactively .Ability to influence others by persuasively presenting thoughts and ideas to gain commitment and agreement for proposed ideas and solutions.Strong Analytical skills sufficient to identify trends/opportunities within financial/market data and to locate/interpret competitive information.Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong team work approach.Strong influencing skills and a strong network of professional relationships within Santander and within industry.Strong Spanish written and verbal communication skills, including demonstrated presentation skills.

Working Conditions: Frequent Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing and walking. For NYC Job Applicants: The base annual salary range for this position is $300,000-$425,000. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
