We are looking for aWorkforce Manager BeNe(Belgium, Netherlands) with affinitty to Operational Excellence.
What do you do as Workforce Manager BeNe?
Every day, between 2,000 and 6,000 temporary workers work at GXO in the Netherlands and Belgium. This happens at approximately 35+ different locations, where there are significant differences each week in terms of where temporary workers are needed and what qualifications they should have, due to peak periods and specific requirements from our clients. GXO is currently experiencing strong growth and utilizes its pool of temporary workers to immediately meet its additional staffing needs and expand its pool of permanent employees from there.
As Workforce Manager BeNe, you are responsible for building the right workforce/ labor pool for existing and new sites. On the one hand, this means ensuring that the right trained (flex) employee is available at all sites in our region at the right time. On the other hand, you work together with the sites on inflow projects for certain target groups. Furthermore, you manage the agency contracts, you ensure that the cooperation with the temporary employment partners runs optimally, you audit the temp partners, and ensure that living and working conditions comply with the contract agreements. You do this, amongst other, by managing the Workforce BU Managers and, indirectly, the local Workforce Coordinators. You are also responsible to provide high quality management reports concerning the labor pool. Finally, you manage the X-team (a pool of employees that can be deployed to another location if necessary) and you play an active role in succession planning.
Your place of employment is our head office in Eindhoven. In this role, you will report directly to the Director Operations.
What does your day look like as Manager Workforce: Monitoring the overall labor pool at regional level Undertaking initiatives to guarantee the necessary availability and quality of flexible workers in the short and longer term Exchanging fellow workers across sites via the overall pool, this involves flex workers as the X-team Projects to ensure with peak period there is enough support from various sites. For example, a start-up of a new site, seasonal peaks, etc. Coordinating ad hoc needs and ensure concerned stakeholders are informed Preparing regional workforce reports and present them within senior operational management. Ensuring compliance with SLAs Reporting and adjusting Service Level Agreements (SLA) Acting as a first point of contact at tactical and strategic level for employment agencies Actively auditing living conditions of migrant workers working within GXO Initiating target group projects (people with distance on the labor market, etc.) Managing the Workforce Team

What do you need to be successful: Extensive experience in a similar type of role (+7 years) Strong negotiations and communication skills Networking, decisive and relationship skills You are a confident, natural leader and problem solver with demonstrated critical thinking and collaboration skills You have advanced understanding of business process analysis You are a go-getter, can make decisions and are able to take on projects strategically Good oral and written expression skills in Dutch and English Experience with the following topics is a plus: social responsibility, CSR initiatives, migrant workers in a Blue-Collar environment and/or policy experience, process innovation and continuous improvement initiatives, planning of multiple strategic projects, provide best in class project management to be able to meet project timelines
