The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking a Manager - Supplier Management and Procurement (Level K) to join our dynamic team in Huntington Beach, CA .
The candidate must possess strong business acumen, written and verbal communication and problem solving skills. Proactive communication with program stakeholders, other functions (Engineering, Finance, Contracts, Quality, Legal, and Operations) is required. Candidate should have a strong understanding of Development Programs. Responsibilities include New Business Proposals, Competitive Source Selections, understanding of Contract Types, Negotiation of Cost, Terms and Conditions and technical work scope (Supplier Statements of Work), development of Supplier Management and Small Business Plans, and Resource Planning.
Position Responsibilities:
Acts as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing all supplier-related activities and the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements.
Manages employees from multiple Supplier Management and Procurement disciplines performing activities related to the acquisition of goods and services in support of company operations, supplier assessment and performance improvement, management and improvement of supply chain management and processes and supplier diversity.
Develops and executes project plans, implements Supply Chain policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and procurement processes.
Provides oversight regarding supplier negotiations.
Manages, develops and motivates employees.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Security Clearance & Export Control Requirements:
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance (SCI) Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher
5+ years of experience in supplier management or supply chain management
5+ years of experience drafting, negotiating and executing complex contracts and subcontracts
5+ years of experience working directly with suppliers or supplier management
5+ years of experience in the following: developing and writing contract language; managing vendors contracts; and/or working with supply chain processes or systems
Experience negotiating contracts, terms and conditions, and pricing
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience in leadership or management
Active Top Secret (SCI)
Experience working on proposals for new business
Relocation:
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
Travel:
Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Pay range: $118,150 - $159,850
Export Control Requirements: U.S. Government Export Control Status: This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.
