Summary:
As the Head of Strategy & Operations on the Communications and Public Affairs team you will be responsible for guiding the org through the strategy development & planning process and for captaining the strategy and operations team. This includes setting direction and strategy through our planning cycles, collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring key reporting and processes are completed, and supporting leaders with regular strategy meetings. You will get the opportunity to hone your executive decision making and problem solving skills, while leading key processes and operations to empower the Communications and Public Affairs team. The successful candidate will have experience framing complex issues, and communicating solutions to executive audiences through presentations and memos. As an individual contributor, they will have experience working cross-functionally and influencing without direct authority, and will be a strong team player. They will have excellent operations / program management skills, and be able to influence stakeholders across the company. Above all they will have a bias for action, can work on fast deadlines when necessary, and trade off priorities appropriately.

Responsible for designing and driving the organization’s strategic planning cycle, including managing the annual and half annual planning cycles, and building systems to ensure alignment and integration with partner organizations.
Drive teams to deliver comprehensive plans, on time, that are strategically aligned to the north star mission and goals of the org.
Support teams to prepare for leadership presentations and reviews, including identifying and framing key issues for discussion, and developing slides and memos.
Communicate with leadership on a regular basis, highlighting progress towards goals, key risks and dependencies.
Support leaders across the org to track and evaluate work, understand issues, and support them to resolve them.
Support leaders to prepare for leadership strategy meetings.
Drive proactive communications by reporting on status, progress, milestones, deliverables, outcomes, and lessons learned to all applicable parties.
Work closely with other Strategy & Operations team members to ensure consistency in the work across the org and to facilitate best practice sharing. As an individual contributor, you will play an important role as a coach and mentor.

Bachelor's degree

$174,000/year to $242,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
