Position Summary:
The Manager of Strategic Planning plays a vital role in key business projects for the People & Outreach (P&O) team. This role is responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of projects, programs and initiatives across the business unit and the enterprise. This role will interface with all areas affected by the project or initiative, which may include P&O leadership team members, shared services, as well as other departments within the business and enterprise. Responsible for defining and gaining agreement on the project scope and objectives that will be measured. Oversees and coordinates all aspects of the project or initiative.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for leading and supporting critical projects led by P&O that have impact across the function, business unit and enterprise.Working closely with the leadership team and Chief People & Outreach Officer to develop annual and long-term Global P&O and Corporate Strategies, and annual budget planning.Development of P&O Strategic Planning documentation and Scorecard for Corporate Strategy, Operating Committee and the Board of DirectorsExcels at connecting the dots across programs and functions, and influence the weaving of the strategy and story.Lead matrix project teams, influence leaders and subject matter experts, monitor project plans, milestone achievement, and dependencies to achieve deliverables.Communicate, track, report, the project status, critical issues, key dependencies and issues, etc.Drive integration and optimization of all component & dependent projects, processes & applications within the project/initiativeUtilize established criteria and tools to effectively and efficiently facilitate and report against program execution with measurable results for RCGFacilitate effective collaboration of project contributors across P&O and partner functions in order to deliver efficient and timely project deliveryAccountable for the successful execution of a complex program (typically consisting of multiple projects)Integrate and manage the program timeline by identifying all project internal & external interdependenciesInteract with all levels of the organization: senior leaders within P&O and partner functions, product owners, business analysts, technology architects, business system analysts, technical application leads, outside consultants, vendors and other key stakeholders inside and outside of RCGCommunicate requests, decisions, recommendations, and perspective of the Chief P&O Officer within all departments and cross functionally as needed, to support overall P&O Strategy
Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business or related fieldExperience building relationships senior leaders/executives and managing those relationshipsMinimum 7 years of hands-on experience leading complex, multi-year & global implementation projectsExperience working in a global HR function preferredPMP/Agile certification preferredProficient with SharePoint, MS Project, Visio, MS Office suite of toolsHighly self-sufficient and able to effectively influence all levels of project participantsExcellent communication and group facilitation skillsPromotes teamwork to achieve the organization/program mission; win as a teamStrong knowledge of project management principles and methodologiesExceptional analytical and problem-solving abilitiesComfortable in highly dynamic and frequently ambiguous environment
