Job Description
We are seeking a Manager, Shopper Activation (supporting Kroger and Target) to be located in Cincinnati, Minneapolis or Stamford, CT and reports to the Sr. Manager, Shopper Activation.
The candidate will provide functional expertise crossing brand and retail program management with emphasis on driving connectivity and collaboration between sales, brand and national shopper efforts. This person will manage relationships at the retail level to include brand and shopper marketers, sales teams, category management, channel development and insights team. The candidate must have Kroger and/or Target experience and have driven creating integrated omni channel shopper experiences that stimulate brand demand and drive conversion in a fast-paced, technological shopper environment. A clear understanding of each retailer within the Channel and their priorities and opportunities to build successful go to market plans is key.
Omni Channel Program Management
• Lead internal sales and external agency cross-functional team to develop optimal and
actionable strategies, concepts and tactics for Kroger, Target and Albertsons/Safeway
• Establish overarching channel priorities and develop shopper marketing briefs with
clearly defined objectives and KPIs aligned to brand and sales team goals
• Work with external vendors/agencies to execute projects as assigned
• Develop and manage project timelines and budgets
• Manage retailer shopper budgets across retailers and brands; this includes but is not limited to
owning incremental dollar request and vendor payments
• Manage creative and legal approval process
• Measure post-promotion results using agency and internal data
Brand Program Management
Work closely with the brand and agency team to manage timelines and ensure correct
brand assets and lead key meetings with brands and retailers
• Work with fellow Shopper Marketers to align efforts and drive efficiency
• Commercialize shopper plans within the brand and sales organizations
• Manage creative approval process with agency and brand teams
• Drive the planning and implementation of brand programs in retail
• Budget management
Qualifications
Skillsets Required:
• Minimum of 5 years of omni channel marketing, promotions or advertising experience including experience with Kroger and/or Target.
Industry knowledge including current trends, consumer packaged goods and
retailer information, and business philosophies
• Motivational leadership, inspiring team to deliver top performance every day against
assigned business
• Strategic thinking in the development of Omni Channel Shopper programs and management
of day-to-day business
• Strong listening skills and attention to details with sound decision-making skills
• Passion about business and drive to
improve/grow assigned client/business
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills
• Some travel is required
