Job Description
Manages, plans, organizes, and coordinates the 24x7 Security staff and operations. Ensures protection and safeguarding of hospital property, personnel, patients and visitors; participates in administering Performance Improvement Program. Supervises and evaluates the performance of staff.
Job Responsibility
Provides leadership to Security team members and supervisors by communicating and guiding toward achieving department objectives.
Develops, communicates, and builds consensus for goals in alignment with the health system.
Manages Security staff, coordinates, and oversees the daily administration of the electronic security access control the health system, which includes perimeter doors, circuitry alarm the health systems, panic alarm activation and the integration of multiple CCTV's.
Maintains the employee database containing access information for all new hires and terminations.
Participates in establishing goals and objectives to ensure an efficient operation of the Security operations.
Implements programs to achieve goals and maintain budgetary compliance.
Participates in development of budgets and monitors expenditures to ensure operation within budget limitations.
Guides staff in assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and reporting department services resulting in positive service, quality and cost outcomes.
Monitors and coordinates work assignments and staffing schedules to ensure appropriate coverage at all times.
Participates in the development of a strategic plan for the successful future of the security operations.

Job Qualification
Bachelor's Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
Current License to practice as a Security Guard in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
6-8 years of relevant experience and 2-5 years of leadership / management experience, required.

The salary range for this position is $58,540-$92,650/year
