About Manager, QA Audit

  Job Profile Summary

  The Manager QA Audit oversees quality monitoring functions and is responsible for assuring that standards are being evaluated fairly and consistently in compliance with policies, procedures, and quality standards in all Healthfirst Operations processes and supporting systems. He/she conducts compliance and operational audits to identify areas of risk and make recommendations to help improve operational efficiency and effectiveness. The Mgr. QA Audit utilizes different Quality Management methodologies, including the problem-tracking & feedback loop, while working collaboratively across the enterprise and building constructive relationships with Operations process owners.

  Job DescriptionDuties and Responsibilities:

  Evaluate the design and effectiveness of controls to manage risk within our risk appetite and tolerance leveraging standard industry practices to include the preparation and delivery of formal communications expressing opinions and providing insight on the adequacy and effectiveness of business processes and controlsSupport cross functional risk assessment root cause analysis activities to identify, assess and address key risks across various operational areas and to prepare the internal audit planSupervise and control the full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations' effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance with all applicable directives and regulationsIndependently create professional reports & dashboards, manage meetings/schedules, conduct root cause analysis and review issues, collaborate with leaders, facilitate discussions to align on corrective actions, and follow up with Management to ensure timely actions are takenDevelop and execute process reviews/audits which include identifying scope, developing audit programs, mapping processes, reviewing work papers, finalizing audit reports, and obtaining/ monitoring management action plansProvide recommendations that are actionable and follow-up to ensure appropriate completion once agreed to by managementSupervise and assist a team of auditors to ensure completion of audit activities for compliance with key controls, compliance with plans, policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and best practicesEnsure productivity & accuracy of a team of auditors to meet or exceed department standardsMaintain open communication and a strong network with management and business leaders regarding QA assessments, findings and recommended improvements that are independently derived through applying QA & Audit standardsAssess, evaluate, and promote compliance to internal policiesStay abreast of best practices both internally and externally and provide a conduit for introducing those practices to the organizationDevelop and deliver training on various audit and process improvement topicsSupport strategic business initiatives to continuously improve internal processes that optimize internal controls and reduce total cost of controlsAdditional duties as assigned

  Minimum Qualifications:

  Work experience applying accepted principles and practices of auditing, following written audit programs, and documenting audit work performed, and conclusions reachedExperience with process mapping, risk assessment, and audit toolsMust demonstrate ability to understand and implement internal control concepts and perform root cause analysis to solve complex problems.Technical and data management skills including ability to identify, obtain, format, model, manipulate, and analyze large amounts of data and compile detailed reports / dashboardsAdvanced computer skills on MS Office (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Skilled in creating documents, V-lookups, and pivot tables within Microsoft ExcelWork experience planning, organizing, prioritizing, and completing assignments/projectsWork experience requiring written and verbal communication that is clear, concise, grammatically correct, and professionalBachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Familiarity with GAAP, COSO, SOX and other audit principles preferredExperience with data analytic software (SQL, ACL, Alteryx, Tableau) Knowledge of at least two or more lines of business such as Medicare NY, Medicaid, Child Health Plus, QHP, EP, HARPBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration from an accredited institution preferred

  Hiring Range:

  Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $100,900 - $145,775All Other Locations (within approved locations): $86,500 - $128,690

  As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.

  In addition to your salary, Healthfirst offers employees a full range of benefits such as, medical, dental and vision coverage, incentive and recognition programs, life insurance, and 401k contributions (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Healthfirst believes in providing a competitive compensation and benefits package wherever its employees work and live.

  The hiring range is defined as the lowest and highest salaries that Healthfirst in "good faith" would pay to a new hire, or for a job promotion, or transfer into this role.
