Northrop Grumman's Aeronautics Systems sector has an opening for a Program Manager 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within Advanced Manufacturing Technology & Innovation development team . This position will be located on site in Melbourne, FL .
This role will be supporting the development of virtual reality training solutions, Virtual Maintenance Trainer (VMT) and Virtual Reality (VR) Development. These solutions entail creating and conducting training programs using virtual or computer-based simulations to train maintenance personnel.
The primary objective for this role is to ensure seamless coordination and execution of virtual reality development of the maintenance trainer from concept to delivery, while meeting the defined goals and timelines. This individual will be accountable for the delivery of all contractual requirements on cost and on schedule, while achieving all technical requirements and creating customer intimacy to support value creation strategies and actions. The successful candidate must have a record of achieving successful outcomes by leading diverse technical teams, navigating internal processes, communicating with customers, creating a work environment that engages our employees, bringing clarity and clear direction to ambiguous situations, excelling in the fundamentals of program management and perceptive use of predictive metrics.
The selected candidate should have s trong written, verbal and presentation skills with proven ability to develop and maintain strong internal/external customer relationships. The ability to apply knowledge, insights and understanding of business and financial concepts, tools and processes to the benefit of program decisions, actions, and performance. They must identify and address program impacts through a systematic, proactive, approach to issue and problem resolution that identifies, communicates, monitors, and promptly resolves conflicts. The Program Manager addresses program uncertainty through an organized and analytical forward-looking approach that identifies risks and opportunities, determines appropriate handling plans, and manages, controls, and communicates risks and opportunities.
Technical areas of responsibility include but are not limited to the following: Management of program business systems and coordinating monthly business processes to enable the delivery of successful products to the program. Responsible for compliance to internal/external Earned Value Management System (EVMS) requirements Interface with IPTs, Cost Management, and Schedule Management team to ensure accurate monthly Earned Value Management cost and schedule data for the program. Provide guidance and direction to Control Account Managers (CAMs) Assist in financial planning/reporting/analysis of Program and NCTA Accounts Support and management of Program Risks and Opportunities Support the development of ECP costs as well as the monthly EVMS cost and schedule data of approved ECPs. High acumen for problem solving as this role requires the identification of issues and problems across multiple contracts in order to make recommendations to management for resolution. Ability to interpret and apply company policies & procedures that address compliance/charging guidance regarding labor, material, travel and other direct cost (ODC) expenses. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree with 10 years' experience in Aerospace, Aviation, Manufacturing, Production, Industrial Engineering, Engineering, Design, Development or Project/Program Management or Business Management; OR a Master's and 7 years of experience. Experience with Earned Value Management (EVMS). Ability to obtain and maintain an DoD Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time as required by the business. Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance. Preferred Qualifications: Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) degree Master's Degree CAM with NG-EVM Certification Experience with Agile Development Process Experience in using Tableau and Atlassian Tools Experience with Agile EVMS Experience Developing Software/Tools Experience leading a team, preferably within the Aerospace and Defense industry. Experience within the Aerospace and Defense industry Active DoD Clearance or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation). Salary Range: $127,700 - $191,500
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
