Amazon's Rapid and Rural Logistics (R2L) team is looking for a Manager, Program Manager eager to join the growing strategy team that supports R2L Central Operations and other Last Mile functions. R2L is an exciting organization that specializes in fulfilling and delivering orders across Sub Same Day, Rural, Retail, Grocery, and many other networks to delight Customers around the world with delivery to their doorsteps.
The Manager PM will lead multiple large programs, ensuring our businesses are chasing the most critical problem statements and defining solutions that directly provide quantifiable value propositions to achieve business goals. This must be done in strong partnership with dozens of teams and stakeholders, managing multiple programs in parallel, driven from inception to implementation of centralized functions (processes, tools, metrics, etc.). Along the way, the Manager PM must also identify opportunities to drive parity where economies of scale can be achieved. The Manager PM must lead a team of Program Managers to achieve these objectives and chase continuous improvement after launch, identifying opportunities to poke yoke and automate, and partner with Ops teams to drive change management and compliance to uphold the expected impact on the Customer Experience.
The Manager PM will lead their team to present bi-yearly roadmaps that assess the impact on the business and the top initiatives that will be prioritized based on success and impact expected, and be a key contributor to business reviews - both weekly and monthly - to manage progress towards those roadmaps and impact. This role is best suited for an individual hat thrives in ambiguous, cross-functional, and rapid launch environments with a strong roll-up-your-seleves team collaboration culture!
Key job responsibilities
• Be the single-threaded leader responsible for driving the strategy for multiple programs through a team of Program Managers, and the necessary initiatives to uphold those strategies
• Self-identify problem statements and areas of opportunity, and prioritize these in close coordination with business leadership.
• Partner with teams across the organization and multiple programs to source, allocate, and coordinate resources by driving critical prioritization discussions
• Manage and deliver results on complex programs in parallel, and drive parity where possible and optimal
• Ensure the team is effectively defining business requirements for technical and business intelligence integration, negotiating process improvements and needed features, and upholding cross-program tradeoff discussions
• Create mechanisms to manage and monitor all programs being led, and that these mechanisms surface active gaps and track to our glidepaths
• Partnering with Directors, VPs, and other key operational and technical leaders across the organization

Basic Qualifications
5+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
5+ years of team management experience
5+ years of cross functional project delivery experience
5+ years of program or project management experience
Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $101,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $189,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
