Manager, Product Management - North America Small Business Partnerships
Overview:

Small business owners are the hustlers and dreamers who work beyond the typical 9-to-5 and put it all on the line to pursue their passion. And while they may be called "small", they are mighty - navigating unchartered territory in the name of growing their business and serving as a pillar of their community.
As the lifeblood of our economy, small businesses need Mastercard's support to not only to survive but thrive. The U.S. Small Business Segment team is responsible for advancing Mastercard's small business efforts throughout the United States. We have incredibly audacious goals for growing our business and are pursuing several key initiatives to help us meet those objectives, including the evolution of our partnerships and product line strategies.
The Manager, Small Business Partnerships will be responsible for supporting and driving the delivery of an integrated partnership strategy that will impact how our small business cardholders will engage with their card, their Bank, and our brand. The candidate will also support the negotiation and management of strategic partner relationships that are critical to existing and new small business product capabilities and value propositions. Finally, this role is responsible for leading the Easy Savings platform within the U.S and helping to drive customer engagement as well as the acquisition of new merchant offers.
Role and Responsibilities:
• Proactively develop an overarching small business partnership strategy across our core card and beyond card capabilities that leverages out-of-the-box thinking to capture new distribution opportunities and evolve our business into the future.
• Successfully influence and drive change among stakeholders to scale critical small business strategies and deliver business impact.
• Manage relationships with merchant partners on our small business card propositions; key responsibilities include reporting, customer engagement, and budget management.
• Support the identification, negotiation, and delivery of net new merchant benefits in our core product line.
• Serve as the main point of contact in the U.S. for our merchant-funded Easy Savings program and define the program roadmap in the region.
• Represent our business strategy and narrative to customers and serve as a small business leader within and outside of the company to help win new business and drive Mastercard brand preference.

• You have financial acumen and direct experience managing highly visible partners, supporting on contract negotiations, and building business cases.
• You have experience navigating data platforms and are comfortable gleaning insights from raw data to build a strategy or narrative.
• You have strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to execute against a vision while balancing many priorities.
• You are adept at mobilizing support and soliciting input from cross-functional partners to bridge strategy into execution.
• You have deep knowledge of payments and card products, and/or the small business ecosystem.
• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
