We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee and optimize our facility's operational processes. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with a strong focus on driving efficiency, maintaining safety standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team, ensuring productivity, and collaborating with various departments to meet company objectives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Drive process and culture within the facility to enhance productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness. Manage, train, provide performance feedback, and assign duties to direct reports to ensure optimal team performance. Continuously improve operational procedures, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments, handling merchandise, and maintaining warehouse inventory. Partner with sales, inventory control, and operations support teams to ensure product availability. Plan long-range labor needs based on sales forecasts and input from management. Facilitate the achievement of company Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to cost, productivity, customer service, profits, and team performance. Operate the facility in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a culture of safety among team members. Analyze operational reports to identify trends and recommend solutions to management. Build and maintain partnerships with other departments such as Finance, HR, Sales, and Continuous Improvement. Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with machinery and material handling equipment as needed.Minimum Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities):
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field (preferred). Minimum of 5 years of warehouse operations or direct warehouse management experience. Experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS) software. Demonstrated management skills with an emphasis on team development, customer service, communication, and planning. Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to effectively present information to customers, clients, and employees. Ability to work in various temperature environments, ranging from -20°F/-25°C in cold storage sites to 100°F/37°C in dry storage sites, while wearing company-provided personal protective equipment. Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs./18 kgs.; weight may be more dependent upon facility requirements. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends if needed, and adapt to varying noise levels in the work environment.
