Description
This role will support GM China business and organization growth, as well as the business growth in GM joint ventures in China , including SAIC-GM, PATAC, SAIC-GM-Wuling, GM-Auto finance Company, Onstar, and GM Leasing. This position will be responsible for the OpEx (Operational Excellence) deployment in GM China and JVs by delivering OpEx trainings, coaching OpEx projects, leading some high impact projects, organizing promotion activities, etc.
People engagement is quite important for this role, you will be charged to work seamlessly with Executive Champions, Business Leaders, and Stakeholders across the ecosystem to determine scope of projects, define and schedule resource plans in addition to outlining the deployment strategy, goals, and priorities.
As such, you will be Our Master Black Belts and expert in communicating process, status, and issues. In addition to the application of your technical mastery, your expertise will be leveraged to train, coach, and mentor the future of Operational Excellence. In concert, you will be simultaneously contributing to the greater body of shared knowledge, including; best practices, innovative solutions, and efficient strategies.
You will need to travel to different plants across China but mainly in east China, the travel frequency will be 10% to 30% according to the business needs.
Additional Description
Qualifications:
Basic lean and six sigma capability is a must-have, it would be preferred if you are a certified black belt or master black belt, but it's not mandatory.
Other quality and innovation tools are welcome, such as Design for six sigma, TRIZ, Red-X, Design thinking, and FMEA. A software engineering development or problem solving background is a plus to have.
English as working language, and it's preferred if you have multi-national company's working experiences.
People with can-do ownership and open mindset are welcome.
