Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Mission Assurance Manager 1 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Clearfield, UT.
Defines and monitors mission assurance program specifications and processes to ensure mission success of programs. Performs or assures quality, risk management, safety, reliability and maintainability of program achievements, subcontractors, and suppliers in accordance with contractual requirements. Assesses program performance and risks, and determines resources to ensure mission assurance.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Provides daily supervision and direction to Quality Engineering staff. Responsible for providing objective-oriented direction to team members utilizing management guidelines and general policies that fully engage our Quality Management System.
Interfaces with program managers, operations, engineering, customer, DCMA, vendor and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met.
Manages a team of quality engineers who are responsible for the following areas:
Review and approve inspection plans, facility Preventative Corrective Action Boards, various lean improvement programs, and participates in data review and metrics.
Maintains the level of quality and part traceability throughout the product life cycle.
Conducts formal and informal reviews at pre-determined points throughout the product development/manufacturing life cycle. Implement and oversee an effective First Article Inspection (FAI) process that conforms to AS9103.
Investigates problems and assists in disposition of non-conforming hardware.
Assumes responsibility for timely and effective corrective actions.
Basic Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field and five plus years applicable technical experience in one or more of the following areas: mission/quality assurance, supporting systems engineering, systems integration, data analytics, and other related engineering disciplines.
Quality/Mission Assurance and/or process knowledge and understanding
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Solid working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Strong ability to analyze, review and prepare presentations based on data analytics (pull data and compile the information)
Must be a US citizen with an active Secret clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
Special Program Access (PAR)
Prior work experience in a fast-paced, variable environment.
Quality/Mission Assurance and/or Process experience
Good understanding of AS9100, AS9102, AS9103 and NADCAP.
Must have the ability to work well and interface with all departments.
Salary Range: $99,400 - $149,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
