About the Team
ELC Online is the e/m-commerce and digital innovation division of the Estée Lauder Companies, which has a significant global presence via hundreds of Brand.com, retailer.com, and digital and social media platforms. ELC Online provides an enhanced shopping experience by placing the consumer at the center of the retail journey, allowing them to connect with Brands in a personalized way that exceeds their needs, standards and expectations, enabled in part through Omnichannel retailing.
The Manager of Global Online Business Insights will be a member of the growing Online Acceleration & Strategy team, which collaborates cross-functionally to execute ELC Online's top strategic priorities. The Manager will work most closely with Online regional data and commercial leads, Global Online Finance, Online Data Science & Analytics, and the Data Product team to uncover key business insights, articulate opportunities and shape the direction of key business areas of the global online business.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Conduct in-depth e-commerce and omni-channel analysis, synthesizing from multiple data sources with emphasis on analytics tools (Adobe, GA360, Google Data Studio, etc.) and database analytics (Oracle Business Intelligence, Looker, etc.)
• Analyze the Global ecommerce beauty market, including market sizing and projections, category, competition, channel / retailer / distribution, and technology trends
• Support commercial strategy for high profile work streams including financial planning, Brand.com and Retailer.com insights and analysis for Acceleration teams
• Lead development of cross-division & leadership reports with Finance and Data Science & Analytics teams, synthesizing & storytelling insights and opportunities for executive leadership
• Drive opportunities to increase customer value through database analysis, including on-site experience, category trend analysis, and the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool
• Partner with e-commerce brand stakeholders to develop playbooks & best practices for global commercial & merchandising initiatives
• Support development of yearly strategy and budget presentation for Global Online, in collaboration with Brand and Regional leadership
• Support junior resources on the team with presentation skills, analytics, and general career development
Qualifications
5+ years' experience in an analytical role, synthesizing insights and business KPIs At least 3 years of in-depth analytics or strategy experience required, large portfolio or consultancy experience preferred Extremely proficient in translating data into actionable recommendations in a concise manner for multiple audiences, with executive presence. Strong hands-on quantitative, analytical, problem-solving skills with an advanced knowledge of Excel. Commitment to learning new technology, techniques and processes Solid project management skills required Bachelor's degree with emphasis in business, marketing, statistics, analytics, or equivalent
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $82,500 to $135,000. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results as well as participation in the share incentive plan.
