About Manager, Financial Analysis & Strategy

  Who we're looking for

  In this pivotal role, you will foster collaboration across all Finance & Strategy functions to meticulously analyze, influence, and present Expense & Headcount planning to the executive leadership. As a key contributor to our monthly forecasting process, you will also have the opportunity to spearhead prominent strategic projects for the CFO, VP of Finance, and other influential decision-makers, directly impacting our human capital investments. Our team operates lean, which means your contributions will be immediately recognized and valued. Notably, this team has a proven track record of nurturing and launching some of our most promising finance talents.

  What you'll be doing

  Take a lead role in supporting our monthly Expense consolidation & Headcount alignment processes. This involves dissecting financial outcomes, distilling salient trends, and effectively communicating risks and opportunities that have the potential to shape business trajectories.Collaborate seamlessly with various Finance & Strategy teams to assess, influence, and validate the critical headcount expense and assumptions underpinning our budgets, forecasts, and other indicators of future performance. Ensure forecasts are not only accurate but also reasonable, feasible, and credible.Work closely with our People Ops and Talent Acquisition teams to develop forecasts, test hypotheses regarding recruitment capacity, establish comprehensive company-wide vacancy projections, and ascertain the drivers behind headcount expenses.Redefine the landscape of Headcount management reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis. This includes, but is not limited to, comparisons between budget and forecast, creation of dynamic dashboards, and preparation of materials for the Board.Identify potential avenues for investment to bolster strategic initiatives across the organization, ensuring optimal staffing levels. Assist leadership in making astute decisions by providing insights into the tradeoffs involved in expense and headcount considerations.Spearhead process enhancements and automation initiatives to streamline existing workflows, leading to greater efficiency and accuracy.Accept new and evolving team priorities, including the undertaking of ad hoc analyses/projects that provide significant insights.

  What you bring to the role

  5+ years experience in finance, accounting, investment banking, consulting, private equity, business operations, or sales operationsExperience with financial modeling and analytical mentality / working with data requiredPositive attitude with high ability to learn new things quickly. Great teammate eager to further develop and grow with usDemonstrate intellectual curiosity, problem-solving skills, and hunger to continually up-level current approaches and processesStrong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail - "get it done" attitudeHighly adept in Excel. Working knowledge of SQL, Netsuite, Workday, Adaptive, or other planning tools a plus

  Fully Flexible:

  In this role, youll work primarily remotely with the support of a dynamic and caring team. Well provide you with the digital tools and experiences to be together-even when were apart. Being digital first doesnt mean were digital only. Youll also have the flexibility to join us at a Zendesk workspace, in one of our Zendesk offices or our flex office spaces. We will bring our people together on occasion to connect, collaborate, learn, or celebrate in person.

  The US annualized base salary range for this position is $113,000.00-$169,000.00. This position may also be eligible for bonus, benefits, or related incentives. While this range reflects the minimum and maximum value for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations, the offer for the successful candidate for this position will be based on job related capabilities, applicable experience, and other factors such as work location. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only (or OTE for commissions based roles), and do not include bonus, benefits, or related incentives.
