Description
Global Commercial Services (GCS) provides a range of card programs and expense management tools to help large, medium and small businesses around the world manage almost all the facets of their business spending. The GCS Lead Financial Office (LFO) team is responsible for providing financial management, decision support, and planning & results analysis to the Chief Commercial Officer and her direct reports to help achieve BU and AXP financial targets.
This position partners with the Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) organization (representing a quarter of all AXP Billed Business) directly supporting the GM and his leadership team. It is focused on providing financial-data-driven insights to help the US SME Segment grow profitably.
The position includes the potential for people-leadership responsibility for tenured candidates.
In this role, the Manager will focus their time on:
Act as the business-facing owner of Segment-level reporting and forecasting activities, leveraging relationships with IO and FP&A organizations to drive efficient outcomes and maximize visibility of segment performancePartner closely with senior leadership, including the US SME GM and his leadership team, to create new and enhanced performance-analytics across the Sales and Account Development organizationPartner across Business and Finance teams on cross-functional exercises to identify growth opportunities and areas of risk, leveraging big-data sources and profitability metrics to influence business leadership and drive key prioritiesSupport key business initiatives, including strategic decisioning, operational efficiency, deal/portfolio management, and Marketing/Sales & AD investment optimizationPartner with Data Science organization to continuously enhance billing forecasting models
Qualifications:
• Strong relationship building skills and capable of partnering across teams
• Confidence to voice opinions, ask questions, and develop a point of view in meetings & conversations with Finance and Business partners
• Demonstrated ability to identify and implement analytical insights
• Ability to organize and analyze large amounts of data - advanced Excel skills & detail-oriented
• Self-starter who thrives in fast paced environment
• Direct or indirect people-leadership skills strongly preferred
• Experience in SQL/SAS enhances any application, desire to learn is a requirement for success in the role
• 5+ years experience in Finance, data analytics, strategy, or consulting
• Bachelors Degree required, post-graduate education enhances any application
Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
