Charles Schwab Investment Management (CSIM) is the asset management arm of the Charles Schwab Corporation. CSIM delivers a wide variety of products including mutual funds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and money market funds within Schwab Asset Management Solutions (SAMS). The overall SAMS team embodies our firms commitment to providing client-centric solutions that help Schwab clients achieve their financial goals.
The Schwab ETF Capital Markets Manager will be tasked with handling operational capabilities, monitoring ETF trading health, and building and maintaining strategic relationships across the ETF capital markets’ ecosystem.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain the ETF capital markets operating model – define, document, and implement robust processes to ensure product resiliency
Maintain ETF Market Surveillance capability for monitoring market quality across the Schwab ETF product set
Advance the Schwab ETF Capital Markets team’s visibility as a communication hub across both internal and external partners
Monitor primary markets activity, including AP Oversight, servicing AP creation/redemption orders, and new AP onboarding process
Manage relationships and ongoing interactions with ETF liquidity providers, including Authorized Participants (“AP”) and Market Makers
Develop strategic partnership engagement across all key liquidity providers, including ETF trading desks, APs, Market Makers, Exchanges, etc.
Develop protocols for launching new ETF products, including initial seed strategy and lead market maker selection
Create internal reporting on ETF capital markets for distribution throughout the firm
Create targeted external reporting and/or content on Schwab ETFs, highlighting trading, flows, performance, etc.
Participate in ETF inquiry engagement model with both internal sales associates and external clients
Work with key stakeholders on market structure issues, representing ETFs in broader industry discussions

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required, with advanced degree or designation (MBA, CFA, CETF, or progress thereof) preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the financial services industry, preferably in ETF capital markets or investment trading
2+ years of experience working with Bloomberg and other ETF data sources
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference for candidate with a strong understanding of the ETF ecosystem, product structure, and fund mechanics
Preference for candidate with existing network within ETF capital markets ecosystem
Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, and Tableau
Initiative to learn, as the industry evolves across new structures & developments
