What you'll do:

　　EIIC - Aerospace group has opening for "Engineering Manager-Seals & Sensing". Person in this position will be responsible for direct and functional leadership and management of engineering team with in Fluid and Electrical Distribution division. This is a team of about 22 engineers.

　　"This position is responsible for delivering key engineering results aligned to the Engine Solution & Electrification Strategy of FED Division of Aerospace Group. Responsibility includes building organizational capability and capacity within the region and executing as per the global engineering strategy for the Group.

　　• Portfolio leadership- This leader will be responsible for driving & growing Eaton's Seals Products and Sensing Products Portfolio and enhance team's participation within global work share complete with achievement of the success mtrics.

　　• Leadership and Management of the projects portfolio including research & development, systems engineering, product testing & compliance for significant enhancement in New Technology/ Product Introductions aligned to product & technology roadmap.

　　• Help meet the schedule, scope, cost and technical targets for all projects.

　　• Provide visible leadership to guide, coach and develop the next level organizational and technical leaders

　　• Hiring, development and retention of talent/ employees in the department. Develop and maintain relationships with global stakeholders, technical community, academia and leverage these partnerships for continuous advancements of the capability.

　　• Drive DFSS, Application Engineering Fundamentals & 'Analysis First' mind-set in product development and engineering projects.

　　• Develop a high performing, innovative & learning culture across the organization.

　　• Engage talent to attain high level of performance enablement, employee engagement & managerial effectiveness

　　• Enhance collaboration significantly with business divisions, Centers of excellence / functions & partnering teams while working with teams located across multiple geographical locations.

　　• Fully leverage digital & physical prototyping capabilities to drive product innovation. Maximize the utilization of the test labs to accelerate new product and technology development.

　　• Influence and impact manufacturing & operations through sound product engineering support to help deliver products to end customers on time

　　• Manage capacity and resources including software/hardware as part of organization's budget & planning

　　• Complete annual budget planning, Technology roadmap, Performance Management, Merit planning, Customer & Employee survey actions

　　• Build strong customer relationships and anticipate/ deliver customer centric solutions"

　　Qualifications:

　　Master's Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent qualifications)

　　"Minimum 12+ Years of relevant experience with multinational engineering organization.

　　Prior managerial experience is a must."

　　Skills:

　　Demonstrated & relevant experience in the following-

　　• Leading/ managing technical engineering organization & related operations including knowledge of Quality Management System such as AS9100D, various Aircraft industry standards.

　　• Leading product & technology full life cycle development including associated test planning, qualification testing procedures with an ability to resolve manufacturing & field issues in realtime.

　　• Aircraft Engine & Gearbox Systems, components and technology

　　• Seal manufacturing, materials & coatings for static as well as dynamic applications

　　• Developing positive customer relations, participation in Technology events with customers

　　• Effective use of Design Analysis, Reliability, Manufacturing process, Customer interface, Continuous improvement methodologies

　　• Customer oriented approach, building customer & supplier relationships and hands on product testing experience

　　• In depth knowledge and hands on with product design of Aircraft components such as Static & Dynamic Seals, Sensors, etc.

　　• Experience working with Aerospace engine systems.

　　• Proficiency in use of DFSS methodology and technical decision making

　　• A highly entrepreneurial sense of urgency along with a passion for the execution is desirable, along with a drive to grow both personally and professionally.

　　• The position requires the incumbent to be highly proficient in engineering skills, project management and documentation with the ability to manage multiple projects in parallel, thus enabling first time right product development and execution of NPI/VAVE/Cost out concepts.

　　• Strong practical engineering experience to compliment his/her technical ability"
