About Manager, District

  DescriptionResponsible for placing safety as #1 priority in day-to-day work routine for self and others. Provides overall leadership and management of natural gas and/or electric operations within the district. Manages all functions of a district including construction and/or service departments and operational support and warehousing personnel. Responsible to achieve company and regional goals and objectives within the district.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSMust possess knowledge of energy operations at a level normally acquired through a Bachelor's degree in engineering, project or business management, or related field or applicable work experience; andSeven years of progressively responsible experience in the energy industry including electric and/or natural gas utility operations, customer service, and employee relations; andPrior supervisory or leadership experience.OTHER REQUIREMENTSMust take all measures necessary to protect networks, devices, programs and data from cyber-attack, damage or unauthorized access.Must be legally authorized to work in the United States, no sponsorships considered.Subject to pre-employment drug testing and background checks.Required to maintain a valid driver's license.Subject to the Company's DOT Substance Abuse Testing Program.Requires travel: Extensive (50% and over).PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSPrior gas and/or electric utility supervisory experience.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESManages District staff to maximize productivity and teamwork, which includes providing work direction and resources, managing performance, employee training and development, administering company policies and labor agreements, and leading improvement efforts.Achieves a great and safe place to work by actively promoting a safe, positive, respectful, and inclusive working environment that empowers employees to advance company values and cultures.Hires and retains a diverse workforce of highly qualified employees that support and promote company values and cultures. Ensures effective employee development and succession planning within the district.Sets employee performance goals and implements objectives to ensure high levels of performance.Performs other tasks and special projects as assigned.Offers typically made between - $127,970 - $159,960 Annually.Regular full-time employees are offered medical, dental, vision, and life insurance options. We also offer a 401k plan which includes a company match opportunity and an additional retirement contribution. New full-time employees are eligible for eight hours of vacation leave every month and ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
