Job Summary:Design leadership, design quality and program management for one or more OEM customers or one or more CBUs. Clear impact on business success, achieving CBU objectives and customer satisfaction. The position involves specialized activities carried out independently with little or no direct supervision. Responsibilities are larger in scope with accountability for directing and implementing design programs that are complex in nature. This may be done as an individual contributor, a small group leader, or it may involve managing a larger group of individuals. There is a higher level of internal and external contact. There is much autonomy in the decision making with minimal guidance necessary.Responsibilities:Customer/Product/Business:Is ultimately responsible for all CBU group related design projects (customer satisfaction, meet customer standards, assure design quality, budget, resource planning, etc.)Point contact for customer/customer group and CBUs at project and strategic level.Grow and maintain effective design partnerships with OEM design studio(s)Product/Process:Provide expertise and leadership for product definition, design development and execution.Demonstrate leadership of YFAIs PRP process and departmental QOSDemonstrate understanding and support of CBU objectives and strategies.Support the CBU in the commercial process of selling design to the customer.Leadership in product/process critiquesDevelop strategic and operational plans for design for OEM customers or CBU.Represent all design disciplines (SE, 3D, PP)Qualifications:Bachelors Degree in Industrial Design / Automotive Design degree6 years related experience (automotive/product)Cross-functional experience outside Design (marketing, engineering, etc.)Cross-functional experience with the other Design disciplines (SE, 3D, PP)Leadership and project management experience
