Position Summary:
The Creative Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the business functions, client relationships and operational needs for the in house creative team at Royal Caribbean International. They will play a pivotal role in optimizing processes, managing high-value projects, fostering team collaboration, year over year resource forecasting and planning, and ensuring the on-time delivery of high-quality creative work. This role will manage the department's project management team; the key facilitators for all intake, assignment, circulation and completion of companywide marketing and advertising creative requests. The Creative Operations Manager ensures best allocation of time and creative personnel among all the organizations' competing priorities to ensure campaigns are delivered on deadline and within budget. They are key to resolving issues and roadblocks that may arise on the client side and/or creative side, ensuring they do not jeopardize the timing, quality or effectiveness of the campaign work. The Creative Operations Manager will also be responsible for overseeing other aspects of the creative department's daily operations such as team building initiatives and budget management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead the creative project management team in planning, executing, and delivering more than 100 monthly projects on time and within budget, while ensuring project objectives align with business goals.Assess available creative personnel against current workload; develop timelines and negotiate priorities to allocate resources towards top-yield requests. Oversee creative workflows and processes, while continuously looking for ways to enhance efficiency and productivity. Identify opportunities for automation and implement tools to streamline operations.Develop and implement strategies for skill development and team growth. Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to direct reports to enhance their skills and capabilities. Foster ongoing clear communication and relationship building with client teams' to ensure a smooth and transparent working relationshipAssist in managing the department's budget, invoicing, and freelance resources.Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the performance of the creative team. Provide regular reports and insights to senior management.Conduct weekly internal and external status meetings to discuss outstanding issues and potential roadblocks.Clearly communicate project scope, timing, and requirements to multiple stakeholders across different departments and teams.Generate reports for department managers as requested on team performance, time evaluations, resource availability and department bandwidth.Facilitate team building initiatives. Lead internal and external recruiting efforts for the creative department.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising or related field experience.Understanding of marketing channels and deliverables for print, media, and digital advertising. 5+ year's proven experience in a leadership role, preferably in creative operations or creative project management.Ability to provide effective feedback and performance evaluations.Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask. Proficient in Microsoft Office.Basic knowledge of Creative Suite a plus.Proven track record with implementing and maintaining a project management tool such as Wrike, Asana, Workfront, etc. to streamline workflows and enhance project efficiency.
