About Manager, Communications EMEA

  Position Summary

  We are looking for a talented individual to deliver world-class storytelling for Hilton across the high growth Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, with a focus on Europe. Working alongside a talented team based in the UK and UAE, the role will cover a broad mix of external and internal communications disciplines, requiring a versatile self-starter who can turn their hand to anything from corporate comms, executive profiling and issues management – as well as consumer PR.

  What will I be doing?

  • You will play an integral role in promoting and protecting the reputation of Hilton, one of the largest and fastest growing hospitality companies in the world, with more than 7,000 properties in 122 countries and territories. This includes more than 700 Hilton properties trading or under development across 44 countries and territories in Europe, the focal region for this role.

  • Focused on Hilton’s growth and development across Europe, you will drive a strategic approach to communicating Hilton’s rapid expansion across the region through new hotel signing announcements, external speaking engagements and other tactics.

  • Help develop and execute Hilton’s campaigns around workplace culture internally and externally, with a focus on DEI, purpose initiatives and highlighting key awards such as Hilton’s #1 World’s Best Workplace ranking by Great Place to Work.

  • Working in close partnership with our corporate and consumer communications agency network across Europe, you will maximise Hilton’s share of voice, brand awareness and thought leadership across Europe.

  • You will be responsible for protecting Hilton’s reputation and driving best-in-class issues management for Hilton in the region – supporting the EMEA press office with incident and issues management, managing reputational risk and supporting the out of hours press office rota (approx. one weekend per quarter).

  • Some international travel will be involved in the role.

  What are we looking for?

  To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:

  • Proven professional experience in a corporate communications role, gained either in an agency environment or in-house (or a combination of both).

  • A track record of delivering high-impact integrated communications campaigns.

  • Experience of managing PR / Communications agencies.

  • A can-do attitude with a focus on providing sound, solution-based approaches to challenges.

  • Strong organisational skills.

  • A proven track record of producing regular written materials including press releases and other forms of copy.

  • Attention to detail and the ability to interpret and distill complex information.

  • Confident communicator with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Highly collaborative. A self-starter who is able to flex their approach, who can lead a project or work as part of a team.

  • A creative approach to communications.

  It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • Experience across both corporate and consumer communications.

  • Broad experience of working across multiple markets.

  • Considerable experience in issue and reputation management.

  • A knowledge of or experience within the hospitality and / or travel and tourism industries.

  • Experience translating data points into highly impactful storytelling

  • Experience with producing video content, including creating photography and videography briefs and storyboards.

  • A good understanding of the broader business and economic landscape in EMEA.
